SUCK IT AND SEE,
was a series of newly commissioned paintings by London based artist
Andrew McAttee.

This exhibition was his first since leaving Central St. Martins in 1995, and showed his continuing, unerring commitment to the medium of paint. Andrew’s background is in spray can graffiti art and he is well known amongst his peers as STET.

This work, while reflecting his background in graffiti art, showed how he escaped the confines of the ‘street art tag’ yet still retained its spontaneity and rawness.

The style and graphic construction of his paintings parodies the composition of heavily designed newspapers and film posters. Andrew’s paintings have often been concerned with the blurring of fact and fiction within the media, and show his contempt for accepted ‘morality’ and ‘values’.
